Radha and Krishna have spent the night together. Suddenly, dawn is upon them. Radha quickly makes for the door, hoping to get back home before the rest of the village is up. In Her haste and confusion, she's taken Krishna's yellow garment (pitavastra)and is about to walk out with it.

Since everyone in the village knows it is Krishna's - one of His favorites - He calls Her back. For if She were to step out and return to the village thus clad, the game would be over and the secret out.
